Westchester County is located in the heart of the historic Hudson Valley in New York state. Located right outside of New York City, it covers 500 square miles and has a population of just under a million people. It has appeal to many residents for its close proximity to New York City, making it the perfect location for commuting and day trips to the city. The County is a blend of bustling cities, charming villages and picturesque close-knit towns as well as open spaces and beautiful parks. Westchester is made up of six cities, 19 towns and 20 villages.
