SAUVIGNON BLANC 2014, Mount Fishtail (NZ)

What could be better on a summer’s day than a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc?  This selection has a lovely pale straw color and a bouquet of cut grass and lime.  A generous palate of citrus, grapefruit with hints of herbs give this fresh, crisp wine a clean, full finish. This is a good example of the fine sauvignons from the Marlborough area of New Zealand.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2013, Tom Gore Vineyards (CA)

This Cabernet is dark red in color and has a lively, fruity bouquet of berries and plums. Medium bodied, it boasts of concentrated fruit flavors with a hint of dark chocolate.  It is aged in both French and American oak adding to the complexity of flavors. A lingering finish. Tom Gore is a second generation grape grower with vineyards in Sonoma.

Both wines were purchased from your local wine shops and are priced under $15 the bottle.
