At Croton Academy of Arts, we encourage our students to celebrate their individual gifts and special and unique talents. In this spirit, CAA is offering two one of a kind summer day camps.
Stage Fight Camp 2017 Week1, July 10—14, Week 2,August 7 -11, Week 3, August 21-25. 10-2pm daily
This one week camp focuses on different aspects of stage and screen combat allotting time to give campers an understanding of the evolution of stage combat, a basic education in stage combat tenants and unarmed techniques. In addition, campers will explore swordplay and weaponry so that they are able to understand the anatomy of a sword and learn assigned choreography. Each week of camp will culminate in a final performance/demo. Taught by Nicolas Coccaro, Binghamton U., BA, Theatre, certified Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors.
Camp caca performing arts comedy Camp 2017 Week 1, July 17-21, Week 2, July 24-28, Week 3, July 31-August 4. 10-3pm daily
A unique summer program for children and teens exploring comedy improvisation, acting, writing (comedy sketches, monologues and stand up,) filmmaking and editing. Weekly professional guest artist workshops. Taught by CAA directors, Catherine Riedel and Myrlin Valerio and Joe Riedel, BA Columbia College, Chicago, BA Television Writing & Production.
